Areas of Accountability


  • Develop yearly budgets and ensure they are achieved
  • Forecast labor on a weekly basis
  • Set training goals based on the budget for FOH staff members and monitor their performance on a monthly basis
  • Work with Sales, Logistics and BOH teams to execute events to the highest company standards
  • Ensure managers are using proper company standards and policies
  • Introduce company facilities to new and prospective clients
  • Entertain wedding clients, special event planners, and Director’s of Catering from outside to introduce and showcase the facility
  • Have captains / events reports fully expedite and detailed for future references


  • Increase the standards of both Catering and Banquet service
  • Analysis of comment cards with proper follow-up, ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded
  • Set-up training programs for department and ensure on-going training per Company standards
  • Produce and provide weekly information reports to all responsible departments
  • Finalize all event details with Captains / floor managers
  • Execute banquet event orders including requirements for food and beverage, function room set-up and audio visual
  • Handle bridal suites requirements
  • Confirm final/guaranteed numbers with client and ensure if numbers exceed required signed form
  • Ensure flawless event execution from FOH and BOH
  • Follow-up with client during the event
  • Re-plan all service areas for next day operations
  • Monitor and Maintain service areas to standards (cleanliness; operational appearance and functionality)

Human Resources:

  • Create a working environment that is positive, stimulating and motivating
  • Encourage the introduction of new ideas
  • Create a team atmosphere where all staff support each other
  • Ensure an open-door policy
  • Encourage discussion of ideas/changes at weekly meetings
  • Educate staff on bill 168 and OADA legislation
  • Chair and host health and safety monthly committee meetings
  • Update H&S Boards across facility
  • Worked on a successor plan for company
  • Perform by-yearly performance reviews for FOH staff including assistants, supervisors, servers
  • In charge of disciplinary steps up to terminations
